From my travels abroad to trips closer to home, I find my inspiration when I slow down and take in my surroundings. A secluded beach with a looming blue house in disrepair inspired, The Real Estate of Lucy Belltown.
I thought, "There must be a story here," and there was!

The grand blue house overlooking the Gulf of Mexico is a testament to the Belltown family's history. But at 85 years old, Lucy is running out of time. Facing a terminal illness, she must decide whether to bridge the gap with her estranged daughter or risk losing the house to developers eager to replace it with condos.
As the house falls deeper into disrepair, Lucy wrestles with the guilt of failing those who came before her and the fear of rejection from the only family she has left. Can she find the courage to seek reconciliation, or will the house—and the memories it holds—be lost forever?
